08/05: a refreshing break...

is she not the cutest little person ever? i happily spent last evening with her which was
a nice diversion from all things "moving" and "mannequins".
it is pure bliss hanging out with lilah. she is funny, smart and beautiful.
a little shining star.
04/05: more mannequins.....

i think i have mentioned i have an extensive collection of mannequins.
i'm sure i must have at one time or another...well....they are consuming my
weekend. i've listed the torso that i painted....and also have 3 other full
bodied mannequins for sale on ebay. take a look if you like:

/> hopefully that link is useable. (if not you can find my listings under my user
name "tigercat5")
after spending endless hours getting the girls ready to move i'm ready to part
with at least a couple of them!
i have too many "friends".
happy rest of the weekend everyone. i'm off to organize and pack more
body parts.....
02/05: friday update...

alot is going on here, none of which is terribly interesting... just packing and working...packing up the mannequins is not my idea of fun.
have to be careful to mark the body parts so they end up on the right girl!
two more shows and then we will travel "home" to albuquerque.

oh my....this cleaning out and packing up is getting me totally doing the ebay/craigs list thing. i do think it could blossom into an addiction!
it started with our house hunting in new mexico. we found our new home on craigs list and it seems to me like everyone i meet from craigs list is just .....well....nice.
so i'm "re-homing" some of my mannequin collection and a few fun things from my studio.
as i look at the huge expanse of studio stuff and mannequins and think of them in terms of moving them...some of them just have to go!
so, over the next few weeks, and right now, if you are interested in picking up some of these great things check out my listings. my seller name on ebay is "tigercat5"
happy week everyone!
18/04: my daughter in law....

ok...i wanted to tell you all about some very cool things that christy is involved with. aside from being the best mama/wife ever to two of my favorite people, lilah and ben. she is involved with helping the community with her work at a local shelter for women and children.
check out their website:

/>
there is a fun mothers day run she is planning for a fundraiser for the shelter. if you are in the monterey bay/santa cruz area come and run!!! good for you and for the shelter.
or if you need a good cause to donate to....well, here you go!
also, christy and her cousin, mandi, have the most coolest product ever for little people. mandi is an artist from santa cruz and has designed the the best and cutest shoes i have ever seen. she recently started a blog you should check out too. these are seriously the best footwear on the planet for little feet.

i love supporting businesses that are run by independent artists....
ok...that is it for today. i have to chain myself to the studio today....which is good and bad. it would be better if it wasn't such a disaster in there. and even better if some of the work involved my creativity instead of paperwork and such. the dreaded paperwork issue that i fight with constantly.
happy friday everyone!

i just put this beauty on ebay from my mannequin collection.

with anticipating the move to albuquerque i am trying to let things in my studio find some new homes.
down to a month and a half and we will be "new mexicans"....i'm excited...
pretty much just have been trying to keep on top of all of everything and keeping my little business running along as usual.
tonight i get a little "break" and will hang out with mandy and watch "juno" at her house....looking forward to that.
ok...check out my mannequin.
11/04: warm and beautiful outside..
i know this picture is gigantic...but i wanted you to feel like you were out in the field!

inside i am chained to an ugly bunch of paperwork. i needed a little break so i hung out with the llamas and that made me feel refreshed. all better now....
so i know i STILL haven't posted my schedule. that is because things are changing up this year. with the move to new mexico in june, i'm in the midst of determining which shows we will be doing or not this year.
we will not be at bead and button this year. turns out it is right in the middle of the big move and would have been impossible for me to do. for those of you in my classes, i'm sorry....i know there was some disappointment....but, there is a wealth of good classes at that show to choose from....you will catch me again somewhere!
this is a year of "change" for us....good change....i'm excited!
we will have some different things in the booth...starting with the sacramento show this weekend. you may be surprised....good surprised....come and check it out.
